An empty heart, an empty home an empty seat. Emptiness is all that is left since you left us. I speak to your photos daily asking for a clue, a sign, an indication that you're still here and count down the days until I can see your face again. I think about your departure and my heart begins to cry and I have to remind myself that you have gone to a much better place, far superior to where we are now and that this is just another one of your life's journeys. You travelled far and wide, it comforts me knowing that heaven was your final destination. I pray that you can see us from your seat up there, I pray that you smile every moment watching us all and knowing that we are doing our best to honour you, your name and the beautiful legacy that you left behind. I miss you every single day and can only wish that you are able to see Sienna grow into the wonderful little girl that you wanted. She's so funny Dad, always keeping us on our toes, she still hasn't learnt how to suck her thumb yet like you tried to teach her and ends up gobbling her hand instead. You'd laugh and would definitely have taught her by now if you were here. You would be so proud of mum, she's been a beacon of strength and is doing her best to honour you and ensure that your love transcends beyond the life and death realm, I am so so blessed to have been born to two souls who were the epitome of true love.. The boys, they miss you, they normally dont say a lot but it's clear as day the hole that you've left is there hanging over all of us. You always taught them to speak up and I'm glad that they have started doing exactly that. Together we will get through this and build our strength until the day that we meet again as you always demonstrated that you have to stay strong through everything in life and give it your best fight. For now I am going to sign off as my heart is hurting, but just know that you are loved more and more with every day that the sun rises and with every evening when the sun sets. I had the pleasure of working with Jiwan for a number of years and can honestly say he was a great person to be around. If there was a bright side to a situation he found it. His work ethic and in-depth knowledge of the subjects he lectured about meant that he was considered a subject mater expert. Who could tailor the information being discussed so that no mater the knowledge or experience of the audience they understood and benefited form the time they spent with him. As a colleague I will greatly miss him, as a friend I am sorely missing the chats over a few drinks about travel, the future (our sons are the same age) and his deep love and pride he had in his family. My life is richer for knowing you Jiwan. Rest in peace
